A little subdued
Today while browsing my favourites on Etsy, I realised an unintentional theme was forming in my latest additions, so I decided to put them all together into a treasury. It is such a subdued selection, but I think all these pieces are so quietly beautiful. And I want them all!
I've been feeling a little subdued myself these past few days, perhaps it's the cold dreary weather again, but I can't seem to get any energy in the evenings. Looking forward to the weekend to spend some quality time with Mr Hook!

Flying by
Did your weekend just fly by like mine did? It was a very wet and thundery one here in Edinburgh (in fact there's actually been flooding in some parts!) and I've kind of lost that summery feeling again. I can't believe it's just about half way through July already. But I did do quite a bit of crochet experimenting so I will have some pics to share of how the Ixxi inspired cushion project is coming along later in the week.
But to brighten our day today I have some gorgeous artwork to share with you from my sisters etsy shop...she just added two new prints, Lark and Lily, and I LOVE them. I'm sure Caroline will call me biased (and embarrassing) but I genuinely do love these - aren't they so sweet?

Some post weekend excitement
What a lovely weekend - lovely company, delicious food and just slightly too much wine. Some heated discussions; the laws of physics can be a touchy subject at 2am! But it was wonderful to have my visitors up from the Borders homeland.
And some exciting news this weekend - my sister has finally opened up her Etsy shop to sell some prints of her illustrations. And with absolutely no bias, I have to say they are gorgeous. It has been such a pleasure to watch the progression in Caroline's artwork, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. And she's already had 5 sales in less than 24 hours of being open!
I also managed to convince my very generous Dad to give me a lift to deepest darkest Newbridge, to the depot of the somewhat random delivery company that my Ixxi prize was sent to me with.
Oh the excitement! The box itself is so lovely! Construction has begun - but more on that later in the week when I will hopefully have it finished.
