Nest

How gorgeous are these knitted floor cushions/bean bags?! I saw these today on poppytalk, from a little company in the Netherlands called Zilalila. Aptly and adorably named 'Nest', they are hand knitted by a fair trade production in Nepal, made from pure New Zealand wool, and filled with recycled templex material collected from all over The Netherlands. International goodness! They are available from Sukha in Amsterdam. Eco-friendly, handmade and unique - what's not to love?

Looking at these cushions is getting my knitting needles twitching...I had so many projects planned out before I started my crochet affair, I think it could be time to go back to my first love.

Spare Pennies

Anyone who knows me, has visited my house, or has had a five minute conversation with me knows I've been a huge Cath Kidston fan for years. I am trying to limit my purchasing these days as my house was almost becoming a bit over flowery, even for my taste! Cath has some really lovely sewing baskets and they are all almost half price in the sale at the moment, so if you have some spare pennies I think they are a really good buy. I like how the website now includes pictures of their inside which was previously lacking, and pretty crucial!

1. £40.00 - £20.00            2. £40.00 - £25.00              3.£30.00 - £15.00

I think the one on the left with the embroidered top could be my favourite - how about you? You needn't be a sewer either, they would make fab jewellery or trinket boxes.

Talking about sales, I went along to New Look last night just to have a look at a skirt I had seen at the weekend for £29.99 (I wasn't planning on buying it honest)...and it was in the sale for £9! Chuffed.

Coral Obsession

Well I think I have finally recovered from my birthday meal on Wednesday. Even a seafood addict like me has a limit, and as delicious as the feast was I think it might be a good few weeks before I can stomach anything that comes from a shell again! Tonight I'm cooking dinner for my brother and his fiancee, so I've opted for a nice fresh courgette tart with some new potatoes and salad. I have made it before but only once so fingers crossed it turns out okay!

This Fridays object of love is carrying on my coral obsession which shows no sign of abating just yet. The blouse below is from Topshop (and yet another Pinterest discovery) and I just love the peter pan collar, as well as the colour obviously.

Now I did get a little bit of birthday money but I am in quite dire need of shoes - my current everyday shoes have holes on the soles and are leaking, and despite it being June this is problematic in Edinburgh (although to give the sun some credit it has actually been quite nice the past 2 days at last!). So what do you think I should go for, pretty top or dry feet?!
